about

Finally Xul Zolar return with their new song „Hex“ which comes with a music video and once more underlines the bands incredible potential. Whereas their previous material showed the band skillfully oscilating between math-rock, indie pop and electronic music „Hex“ - which was produced by Jochen Naaf and Sven Ludwig - reveals their darker side: archaic drums meet melancholic guitar chords, cold synthesizers evoke the 80s and finally the song emerges into an epic finale that shows the bands affinity to the electronic club culture of their hometown. The accompanying music video which was produced by friends of the band and fellow art students Stefan and Benjamin Ramirez-Perez – who have already worked with acclaimend artists such as Soap&Skin – explores the concepts of space, time and motion as well as their dissolution and perfectly captures the dark yet liberating mood of the song.

„Hex“ will be released on May 31 as limited 7inch vinyl single that will be available exclusively via Bandcamp & Xul Zolar's homepage.
